Xica da silvaah

140mm High-heeled mule sandals.

Mules inspired by Xica da Silva, the Great 18th century Courtesan of Brazil. Although she was born in slavery, she was a victorious and revolutionary woman, even by today’s standards.

Irreverent and compelling, she valiantly overcame her enslavement, seducing powerful men with her beauty, intelligence and sensuality. She anticipated the legend of a Black Cinderella, becoming one of the first and most powerful emancipated black women in the Colonial Americas.

These mules are hand-crafted in Spain and showcase Europe’s exceptional artisanship in shoemaking. They are made of high-end Spanish leather. They have a wider than usual last, which makes them more inclusive for various types of feet (male, gender fluid, women with wider feet etc.). In addition, the wider last provides extra comfort for such high-heeled mules.

They are ultra low cut, revealing just enough toe cleavage and lengthening the legs.
